Nova Lake?

Hello guys,

Wondering about upgrade capabilities in the future. I’m waiting patiently for the Nova Lake release next year and wondering if Framework will make a move to create a Nova Lake configuration next year?

Regardless of the memory is still soldered like the current gen to be fair (however would love a 256GB version if that’s the case) as I’m planning a large homelab with proxmox but lacking home space.

What I found great is being able to share the memory with th GPU which is something quite unique and would allow me to keep everything small and not require a large build with an expensive GPU to run LLM on my homelab, which is why I would love Framework to propose this configuration next year.

Thoughts on this happening ?

With ram prices going where there are I would recommend so looking at something now. Next year is going to be very expensive

I spent a lot of time exploring my options prior to buying a Framework Desktop.

One thing I noticed, in fact the pattern was impossible not to notice, was that Intel were long on announcements and short on delivery. Rumours, leaks, announcements, influencer speculation … everything but a chip I could buy for a custom build that would get me an NPU that passed Microsoft’s (indefensible) bar for Copilot+.

Sometimes a bird in the hand is, indeed, worth more than marketing puff
