Peripheral modules hot-swappable?

Easy question: Are the Framework I/O modules hot swappable?
While I really like my new FW13, it’s slightly limited on I/Os so unfortunately have to swap out sometimes. Hot swap would be awesome, but it depends on how power is handled on the bus.

I’m running Ubuntu.

They are USB-C ports, so they are exactly as hot-swappable as USB-C dongles. Nowadays that for the most part means very good swappability. If you have need for more device connectors, you can use a USB hub, with all the usual pros and cons of that.

External USB hub is of course an option, but reduces the ease of mobility.
