Power charger repeatedly disconnects and reconnects in Fedora

Hi, I’ve just started encountering an issue where my system detects the power cable disconnecting and reconnecting at random, which I can tell by the sound alert and the icon changing in the status bar. For some time now, I’ve had the BIOS set to cap the battery charge at 60%. It worked without issue, but I suspect this might be somewhat to blame. The power lights on the charging cable and on my Framework are both consistent. I tried the charger on my phone, and the phone’s status said it was charging consistently while plugged in. After plugging my laptop back in, this issue did not start occurring until the battery reached that 60% cap. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to further troubleshoot or fix? It’s annoying because I’m working with my speakers off at the moment.

Fedora Workstation 41
Laptop 12 (Intel 12th gen)

You must have a FW 13, not a 12. If you look in the section for the Framework 13, there is a long thread ongoing about this issue.

Cheers!

It appears a bugged version of upower made it to fedora repos (1.90.8). If you are running this, try downgrading to see if it fixes.
