Power stops to speakers while system is powered off

I use Creative Pebble V3 speakers which connect via USB-C to provide both power and audio connectivity for the speakers. I used them with no issues with a laptop I replaced with the Framework Desktop.

I’m having an annoying behavior due to the way both the speakers and the Desktop work. When the Desktop powers off, it seems to completely cut off power to the USB-C port (other computers I’ve used, all laptops, seem to continue to supply some power when switched off). When this happens, the speakers go into a standby mode and can only be brought back to life by turning them off and back on again, then pressing a button on one of them.

I looked in the BIOS for options related to power on the USB ports but had no luck. This behavior also seems to be the same for both USB-C ports in the back, as well as the USB-C expansion cards on the front.

Has anyone else run into this? I’m thinking about getting a powered USB hub but I’d prefer not to have to spend money on such a small issue.

Yes, I also requested this function.

I already fire an issue in their github. Hope the team can update this function into bios.

Thanks for the reply and context! And my apologies for the redundant topic, I did try to search before I posted.

Don’t feel sorry. I also hope more people share the same idea so that Framework will take this feature seriously and add it.
