Hi there,
Does anyone know if it is possible to cut off power passing trough the expansion cards when the computer is sleeping/hibernating/powered off?
Living in a tropical climate, I am using a cooling pad plugged in directly into a USB port and my problem is that it never shuts off unless I unplug it.
I’ve checked in the BIOS but couldn’t find anything on the subject.
Help?
There are ways to power off usb ports from Linux. I do this on the raspberry pi connected to my 3d printer so that it doesn’t back-power the printer when it is off. In that case I use this tool. I haven’t tried it on Framework, but many motherboards already support the feature.
