Recommended laptop stands for Framework 16?

Having trouble finding a good one, but I would like one for…

…space saving reasons. (The laptop is in the middle)

So I found an old thread recommending the Griffin Elevator. Any other recommendations?

This style of stand works really well for me…

This is what I was looking for: something that Amazon customers typically keep. Thanks!

At home my FW16 lives on a tray in my monitor tree, but when I travel I use this stand.

Fully spread apart the rear legs fit snuggly against the edges of the expansion bay.

Got access to a 3D printer?

Loads of them on Makerworld - https://makerworld.com/en/models/804733-laptop-stand#profileId-745134

Or vertical - https://makerworld.com/en/models/2714993-framework-16-vertical-stand-for-gpu-expansion#profileId-3006704

Whatever you get, make sure that it’s deep enough to hold a dGPU if you have one. The one I got was not, and the laptop can easily fall/tip backwards if it’s not perfectly balanced.

I’ve been using an old Ergotron setup similar to this arm with this tray since the late aughts. I have the same arm holding a monitor in another setup and it works just as well as the Ergo. The tray looks functionally identical to the Ergo as well. The L-stops at the front adjust forward; this is important for setting the depth of the FW16 on the tray so the back foot will rest on the tray maintaining airflow under the laptop.

You can adjust the laptop screen much higher than a tabletop riser allows, which is critical for positioning the screen at eye level for a proper seated posture.

You have much more flexibility with positioning the anchor on your desk. Mine is currently anchored to the corner and extends the laptop towards the center of the desk, keeping desk space practically clear to the edges.

FWIW the FW16 is the fourth laptop I’ve used on this setup.
