is it safe to remove the key caps and swap them around? is there a guide anywhere on how to safely remove keys? I’ve had laptops in the past when keys get removed it is not always possible or easy to put them back on. wondering if frameworks are bit more agreeable to removing key caps.
If you search this forum, there are posts detailing key cap removal. From what I remember (which you shouldn’t rely on), the removal of the key caps are delicate processes and can damage the keyboard/key caps if not done properly.
If you want to clean the laptop’s keyboard, the membrane keyboard can be removed. If you do decide to do this, make sure to have a magnetic dish nearby to hold your screws. It’s easy to lose them.
