[RESOLVED] FW16 Driver Bundle 2024-10-02 won't install

Hi

Running Windows 11 - 24H2 (OS Build 26100.2454)

I just installed the Bios update 3.05 and that went smoothly; now I’m trying to install the new driver bundle and it’s not working.
(file: Framework_Laptop_13_and_16_AMD_Ryzen_7040_driver_bundle_W11_2024_10_02.exe)

The error I am getting with the Driver Bundle installation is taking place during STEP 1 OF 9 - see image attached “AMD error.jpg” for details. When I click “ok” at the bottom right, the CMD window stays on and then the error pops up again - looks like an endless loop. Annoying…

The second image “Step 1 of 9.jpg” is just how the installer looks like before the error pops up. This window is never closed or reset and just keeps on running indefinitely despite the error.

Anybody know what to do or how to fix this? I would like to update my drivers …

Hi again, replying to my own thread here but with an important update.

I manage to get it to work. I simply rebooted again, and this time I tried running the driver bundle installer .exe file with the laptop UNDOCKED. It worked.

I have other problems now, such as Adobe Reader crashing EVERY SINGLE TIME I open a separate window, but that’s a new problem … This one is solved …
