I am in the States, and I havent been charged, but I think I ordered kind of late. When I ordered the Ryzen 7 batch 1 has already sold out.

The email doesn’t say they would charge within 3 days. It says they will NOT charge within 3 days to allow for changes to the order. You’ve read in things that were not said.

I got charged about 5 hours ago. I am in the USA. Be patient. I hope it happens soon for you too.

So what batch where you in ? 2? Maybe they are doing 2 batches at time?

While we wait for billing and shipping notifications to roll in, how about some more polls?!

What choices did you select for your order?

So I only pre-ordered the motherboard, ram and wifi kit l. Anyone had a payment success notification for just the motherboard, ram and wifi card?

I too have only ordered the mainboard kit (board, DDR5 ram, and wifi card). I myself have not been charged yet.

It won’t let me change the polls now, my bad.

Did you purchase a complete laptop or the mainboard and parts separately?

I ordered Ryzen 5, which sold slightly slower than Ryzen 7, so I am in batch 1.

Similarly, I am Batch 1, ordered literally as soon as I could get to my machine after the announcement.

In fact, I ordered just the ryzen 7, without the wifi somehow at first, so that had to be added, and then I added 64 GB ram to it as well because I wanted to support Framework more  upgrading from batch 1 of 11th gen.

Already have the coolermaster case to drop this machine (I am currently typing on it) into.

Have not yet been charged, but I am sure/hopeful it will be soon.

He could be in batch 1 for the r5 7640u. The r7 7840u batch 1 was sold out befor the batch 1 of the 7640u.

I copied directly from the order config page, and you cannot make changes to polls after 5 mins. My bad!

Since they do not produce more for them for now, guess I got something rare
But that is the reason it is not on the order page anymore.

I wondered if they would prioritise DIY / Prebuilt before upgrades.

Ah, I see… That makes sense.

It wouldn’t surprise me if we didn’t see anymore charges until tomorrow.

If you peruse their job posting, it sounds like this may follow a protocol like:

  1. Warehouse communicates on hand stocks to the person(s) responsible for creating payment batches.
  2. Payment processor selects which orders to process, optimizing for parts availability and fulfillment capacity for a shift.
  3. Payment processor sends the orders that were successfully billed to the warehouse for fulfillment.

It may not be exactly like that, but it would make sense for them to only bill for orders they know they can fulfill right now.

I ordered my Ryzen 5 without wifi. I went back to the configuration page for DIY Ryzen 5, and acted like I was placing a new order. It never gave me an option for wifi. I wonder why. I guess when mine gets here I could try the wifi card from my old laptop, but I don’t know whether that will work. Strange.

I totally understand the KB article not having all of the retail modules listed and instead having just the chips they used. however, Im having some trouble actually matching the chips up to a retail kit, id really love to go with a crucial ddr5 kit but since non-ecc micron chips havent been tesed im having trouble finding anything concrete. what have you guys found so far?

i dont see why it wouldnt work, intel wifi chips are industry standard and the drivers are separate from chipset/io drivers but my guess is that the amd wifi board drivers are going to be in the druver bundle framework releases, so just expect to redownload the wifi drivers.
