I have a pre-order for the framework 16 and was wondering how much the gpu efffected battery life. I’m in batch 12 and my mom ordered me a graphics card as a surprise but I am trying to decide if I really need one. I will be running Linux on it.

It really depends on the GPU intensive task you’re doing, that would crank up GPU then in turn consume more power. For usual desktop usage it should be same battery life without a dedicated graphics card.

According to reviews I’ve seen:
max dGPU usage: less than 2hrs
no gpu usage/light load: about 10hrs
