Screen is flashing weird things on screen

Laptop 16 model: AMD Ryzen 7040 series

I’m not actually sure if this has to do with the computer or the OS. I can’t screen-record it because it doesn’t show up in recordings, so I used my phone. I just got the computer yesterday and haven’t used it till now. Im guessing it’s hardware rather than software but I’m unsure what’s wrong.

I suspect you need to raise a support ticket for components between that screen recording data and the LCD panel.

There might be a quick fix: Given it’s not recorded in the data, check in the Laptop 16 Device Guides, particularly the Laptop 16 Display Replacement that the link to the screen, an eDP Cable, is seated properly.
