Initially I smelled burning/metallic/chemically from my speaker area, got the speakers replaced. Now a few weeks roll by, I am starting to smell burning again. It’s not coming from the speaker area this time, it is coming from the intake vent of my laptop. It’s faint, the smell is definitely there though. What is going on with my laptop?
Cease usage immediately, contact support. To me it sounds like you have a bad mainboard unit.

Nothing has melted yet, that I know of. I am rocking a DIY Batch 6, I purchased it in 2021. The thread you suggested, might be related.
