I am using the Framework Laptop 16. The concept is great, and I switched from the top-tier MacBook to support this excellent initiative. However, the computer is very noisy and hot, and the speed of compiling large projects is significantly worse compared to M2/M3 processors. Moreover, those processors remain quite quiet and cool during compilation. It seems AMD has reached the peak of its development, and further architectural changes are necessary to produce faster, quieter, cooler computers that have longer battery life. I would gladly upgrade to an ARM motherboard with the capability to install a large amount of RAM (or soldered RAM, but 96+ GB) and a discrete graphics card (as far as I know, NVIDIA has drivers for ARM) for improved graphics performance and AI training.
