[SOLUTION] Colors on the display appear washed out or over saturated after installing the AMD graphics driver for Windows

Problem: Colors on the display appear washed out or over saturated after installing the AMD graphics driver for Windows.

Cause: AMD drivers for Windows enable a feature by default called Veri-Bright that will adjust color contrast when there is light around the laptop. This avoids the need to increase the display brightness, which saves power, but also makes colors inaccurate. Windows 11 itself has a similar but separate feature.

Solution: Disable AMD Veri-Bright by right clicking on the desktop and clicking on AMD Software. Navigate to Gaming> Display and turn off Veri-Bright. Then, close AMD Settings. Open the Start Menu and click Settings. Navigate to System> Display. Click on the drop-down arrow for the Brightness category, and make sure “Change brightness based on content” is set to Off.
