[SOLVED] Expansion slots 2 and 3 not regognizing expansion cards

Running Bazzite 44 with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370

I just noticed this issue today after a system update but I don´t know if it was working before the update or not. I noticed my USB A expansion card and 1TB storage card were both not working after the update but didn´t notice before because i hadn´t tried plugging my mouse in yet or accessing the drive. I have tested them in slots 1 and 4 (the high voltage ones) and the cards are both still working. Additionally the storage card is recognized as a drive but will fail to mount in slots 2 and 3. According to the sensors the expansion cards in slots 2 and 3 do still receive 5 volts from the main board when they are plugged in. Even though the sensors are working, the system info application will crash if I try looking at the USB Devices, I have to check the sensors through a system monitor app instead.

I have tried unplugging them and plugging them back in while the PC was on, while the PC was asleep, and while the PC was off. I have rebooted properly and by holding the power button down for a long time. I have tried rebooting with no expansion cards in any slots.

UPDATE: i rolled back to Bazzite 43 and the issues went away. I will go report this to bazzite directly.

I’m having a similar problem with Bazzite 43 on my Framework 13 Operating System: Bazzite 43
on my AMD Ryzen 7040Series Framework 13. Any ideas what might be causing this?

I have the same issue on Arch since upgrading to 7.0.7-arch1-1

I have the exact same issue. I would not be marking this as solved. Having to revert is not the real “fix” or solution.

I’m on a Framework 13 AMD HX 370 build.

I also would not consider this solved. Especially considering all the security vulnerabilities found recently. I don´t know how to get an admin to unmark this as solved though.
