I just got a framework 16 and set it up with windows 11. I got 2 keyboards(clear and ansi white backlit) and my clear works fine, however plugging in my other keyboard has it showing up as a blank rpi drive. I can’t get qmk to compile on my pc so I was wondering if anyone had a uf2 that I could use. I think my keyboard just wasn’t flashed before shipping
Nevermind. I just found the uf2 on the 0.2.9 release. hope this helps anyone else who ran into the same issue
In case anyone else runs into this, here is a link to the official Framework keyboard firmware releases, Releases · FrameworkComputer/qmk_firmware · GitHub.
You click “Assets” under the top release / highest number, currently v0.2.9. Then, if you’re on windows, choose the .exe file for your keyboard layout. For example: framework_flash_ansi_v0.2.9.exe for the USA, aka “ANSI” keyboard on windows.
Which layout do I want? ANSI, ISO or JIS
ANSI (American) layout. Note the shape of the enter key.
ISO layout. British is shown, but this layout is valid for many languages.
JIS (Japanese) layout.
If you’re on Linux or you wish to flash manually, pick the .uf2 file instead.
Information on flashing manually can be found here: Custom QMK firmware? - #14 by MJ1 (you don’t need to read that post if you’re on windows and just using the .exe file)
But if anyone gets a keyboard that appears to have not been flashed at the factory, do let support know. This shouldn’t happen.
