my framework 16 started showing screen that I need to update my PD firmware. It happend suddenly (not after bios update).
I checked the QR code and is says that I should do sth with the graphics module but I don’t even have it. I have the dual m2 adapter, though
I am on Arch and have 7860HS chip
After exiting the screen, machine works fine.
Updating the firmware via fwupd did not help.
Your Framework 16 shows a PD firmware update screen incorrectly. Since updating via fwupd didn’t help and your system works fine otherwise, manually reinstall the BIOS or firmware using the official Framework recovery tools.
That’s strange. I have never seen mine do that before. I would try reinstalling the bios using the manual method (fat32 formatted USB drive with firmware files placed on it).
I just had this exact issue happen and fixed it using the USB EFI shell method.
I have managed to solve it: just re-plugged USB_C expansion cards.
