M’y changer is OK, but the laptop is not charging.
If i remove the battery, Can thé laptop work directly on the charger ?
There should be an option to enable standalone mode in the BIOS, which allows the mainboard to boot without a battery connected.
I would still recommend trying to see why your laptop is not charging before resorting to the above. The latest BIOS update has some protections to ensure that the battery isn’t overcharged, so this may be what you are experiencing. For more details, you can check here. Also check that you have not set any charging limits in the BIOS.
I don’t think the FW16 can power on without a battery.
Have you managed to do it?
You might need a BIOS battery. On mine with prolonged (main rechargeable) battery removal I will need to reset BIOS/RTC by doing the chassis button ritual, otherwise it won’t start.
Try removing the primary battery with the laptop plugged in.
