Steam running games, but puts black screen over everything

Which Framework Laptop 16 model are you using? (AMD Ryzen™ 7040 Series)

I followed step 12 here..

Game launches, can hear audio, yet screen is black. Even if I switch tabs, the screen remains black until I close Steam. I can see open tabs when I click super button, sometimes the game looks like it’s working sometimes black also. The dgpu detect shows no apps using.

Just as a test, try opening steam via terminal:

$ steam

Does the black screen persist?

There is a long running bug w/steam, and I can find my workaround, but test this first.
