I’m getting super slow download speeds when connected to Wi-Fi on my 12th Gen Framework 13 with the Intel AX210 wireless adapter.
Running OpenSpeedTest from the laptop to my Synology NAS results in an average download speed of 82.3Mbps and an average upload speed of 343.5Mbps. I ran the speed test in Windows 11 22H2 with the latest drivers installed as well as Ubuntu 22.10 booting from a USB stick. Both tests had similar results. I’m confident it is not an OS or driver issue.
I then ran same exact test from my Pixel 7 which is positioned right next to the Framework laptop resulting in an average download speed of 308.5Mbps and an average upload speed of 386.9Mbps. I also ran the same test from my wife’s Macbook Air M2 resulting in an average download speed of 315.9Mbps and an average upload speed of 472.3Mbps. Finally, I took the Framework laptop to my office which has the same model Unifi WAP and a Synology NAS hosting OpenSpeedTest. I again ran a speed test with almost the exact same results. I must conclude this is a hardware problem.
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, were you able to resolve it?
