Testing Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS on the HX 370 Mainboard - Initial Findings

I didn’t find much information about running Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS (kernel 6.14.0) on the new AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 mainboard, so I wanted to share my early experience. I know Ubuntu 25.10 is the officially supported release, but I plan to stay on 24.04 LTS until 26.04 LTS is released in a few months.

I swapped my Framework Laptop 16 mainboard for the HX 370, moved over the two SSDs and 128 GB RAM, and kept the Radeon RX 7700S installed. It may not be fully optimized, but so far everything seems to work: Wi-Fi, RAM, SSDs, and my external USB4 drive all behave normally (AMD Ryzen AI 300 BIOS: 3.04; Keyboard and Numpad firmware: v0.3.1).

As I have time, I’ll run some computationally heavy workloads to see if anything changes, but so far the system appears stable.

Hope this helps anyone else considering the upgrade.
