I have a 13-inch laptop that initially had an Intel 12th generation processor but then I purchased and installed an AMD 300 AI motherboard. I installed the NixOS operating system and it works fine, but after a longer period of operation (days), a thermal packaging problem appears. The processor temperature reaches 100 degrees and the system freeze.
To check the temperature, I installed Mission Control, which correctly indicates the processor temperature and load, but the fan is always at 0 RPM even when the temperature exceeds 50 degrees.
How can I verify that the fan is working correctly?
