It does suck, but I also get it. I would’ve ordered one as a fun thing, but that would also mean I’ve a black bezel that would go to waste, which wouldn’t be great.

I really hope they make these available for existing fw13 owners… kind of sucks that only new buyers have the option for one at this time. i’d love to purchase one for my fw13! please put some stock up on the marketplace, Framework @nrp !

anyone else refreshing the marketplace several times a day in hopes that the transparent bezel shows up?..even though it was explicitly stated that it wouldn’t lol

At this point, they likely don’t have any left. And they are not making more at this time.
Transparent requires a different type of plastic, and a high number of unusable bezels were coming out of the molds. It would require a new mold just for transparent, and they’re extremely expensive. Too much to justify it right now, I presume. But if I recall, they said maybe in the future.

Yeah, I remember seeing that on Reddit a few months ago. They brought them back temporarily, but it looks like only for people purchasing a new laptop. I checked the marketplace a couple times but never saw them up. I really wanted one lol.
I could be wrong, but If I recall correctly, they removed them right before I purchased my laptop. Then they brought them back temporarily, but not if you already made a purchase and only wanted to buy the bezel from the marketplace.
I’m just salty because I saw an LTT tech-upgrade video yesterday where one of their employees was able to get a clear bezel upon request for their 7840u machine with a 2.8k display. Literally exact same machine as me but with the clear bezel that I have never been able to get.
I am under no delusions that they would do the same for me. I understand why, it just sucks to suck. Such is the life of a non-inlfluencer/investor normie pleb lol.
We unfortunately don’t have any stock left for the translucent bezels, they became temporarily available for the limited stock that we have earlier this year but we don’t have it anymore.
(I also don’t have one

I noticed the same thing. Alex from LTT is lucky. My 12th gen 13" will be waiting. My hope is that FW will release limited edition bezels in the future for the 13". Maybe a tie-die or recycled plastic bezel (LTT bezel anyone!).
How about a translucent coloured one ???
dbrand did make those transparent plates for the PS4, like the old gameboy style. I wonder if they can make after market bezels with similar material.
