Before I update, did anyone try this already? Any experience so far?
I did. It did not upgrade smoothly, but I got it all worked out. Broke all my configured wine setups. The biggest ‘broken’ that remains is my laptop now crashes when removing usb 4 dock that has 2 displays and other things jabbered into it. Never a problem on 24.04.
Anyone else have this immediate crashing on 26.04?
Otherwise, I think everything is working fine – But if I were you I’d be prepared for some things to go wrong – And I quite regret not sitting on my hands for a bit. Alas, here we are!

I installed kubuntu 26.04 fresh on my Framework 16 with 7940U, and overall it has been a good experience, even the hibernate works fine (once you figure out how to enable it, it is not by default).
However, there is one thing keeping me from making this my main OS, that is occasionally it will lock up completely at seemingly random moments while I’m using it. Not often, but this happened 3 times now since I installed it (about a week of use now).
So far I’ve had no luck pinpointing what could be wrong, but have not given up yet
