Unplugging and Replugging Laptop in Changes Power Usage

One quirk I’ve noticed with power delivery is that if my laptop is plugged in and I start a game, it’ll pull about 60-70W through the dGPU, however, if I unplug the laptop and plug it back in, it will then pull 100W+. Does anyone know what could be causing this change of power target? I mostly notice it on Linux rather than Windows. I tested going to ↔ from performance mode, and that didn’t trigger the same effect. Performance doesn’t always go up, but temps and power draw definitely does.

Using a USB-C power meter, I can see the negotiated voltage doesn’t change.

hmmm… I don’t know. What are you using to measure the GPU power usage? I use LACT and I got mine up to 120 Watts when I use the 240 Watt power brick and the laptop gets kinda hot, but I get better FPS in most titles, doesn’t do much for video editing though if anything. I measured total power usage to be around 220Wish total usage with my UPS, but I had my PC connected even if it was off, I think that it slightly skewed the power reading, plus the GPU doesn’t ever seem to hit the full 120, it is more like 110-119ish I need to do actual readings to figure it the true power usage.
