Any difference in performance and efficiency between the 500/1TB/2TB? I really just need a 500 and sometimes these lower capacity drives get shafted from some manufacturers.
The specs on the product page (scroll down) suggest that performance is fairy consistent across capacities. However, those numbers are a bit deceptive–they’re based on cached reads and writes. This more in-depth spec sheet shows that the 500 GB model has worse sequential and random write performance after the SLC cache is exhausted.
Knowing this, I still got the 500 GB model.
