I’ve decided to post my query here since it may be of interest to the wider community. I’m considering buying a refurbished framework laptop, but I would like to know in advance whether I will be able to run Windows as a KVM guest with Linux as the hypervisor.
It would be helpful if these specs were listed for all the laptops that Framework offers.
Short answer - yes. Longer answer, it depends if you are trying to do more than running windows and applications in a vm - things such as hardware passthrough, for example. RAM is your friend when running VMs. The more the merrier. Any of the CPUs ought to be fine.
