VR/AR Cyberdeck Project

Hello all!
I’d like to introduce my Fyerdeck project, a Cyberdeck powered by the framework13 mainboard. This design integrates the mainboard, battery, trackpad, and powerbutton/fingerprint reader from the Framework13 in a fairly compact case that’s designed to be used with either AR glasses like the Xreals, or a VR headset like the quest 3.

The design isn’t 100% finalized yet, I still want to incorporate a small screen for diagnositcs and to run the 2d desktop environment we’ll need to get everything working 100% and the powerbutton mount is not quite finalized yet. That being said, the design is close to being finalized so I wanted to share! The github repo below has the stls, assembly instructions, software setup instructions, and credits to the original designs I modified to make this project happen!

I plan to get this deign finalized and fully operational by Defcon this year where I’ll use it as my primary CTF machine.

Currently I’m building the prototypes with the 13th gen I7 laptop I got from work, but the finished piece that I’m going to use will have the ryzen ai 9 mainboard that’s shipping in April, and parts I’ll get from the marketplace.

Any comments, critiques, or suggestions are welcome! This is my first time trying to do 3d design so I’m sure there’s things I can do better.

PS: if anyone knows about a small (less than 8" diagonal if possible) screen that I can just connect to the eDP port on the mainboard let me know! that would make the screen integration process so much easier!
