Weird sounds coming out of my new Framework 16

Hey Framework Community,
I received my new Framework 16 laptop as a gift last night and promptly assembled it. I’m running a build with an AMD AI 7 350 processor, a 5070 GPU, 32 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of SSD on Ubuntu 24.04.3 (I can’t use 25 because I have to run ROS on my laptop). Initially, the laptop worked completely fine with no noticeable issues, but, since I’ve started using it this morning, I’ve been hearing an odd blaring sound coming from the half of the laptop closer to the GPU. The sound is extremely faint but still somewhat noticeable while using.

I’m sending this post mostly to just check if I need to be concerned about this sound. Any help would be appreciated.

Does the sound occur consistently or during certain situations? I would try to replicate the issue and really pinpoint the location of the noise. It doesn’t exactly sound like coil whine. When it occurs do you notice any vibration?

I’ve also noticed a buzzing sound after installing the 5070 module in my Gen 1 (bought it without dGPU) FW 16.
When rotating parts in Solidworks, there is a distinct buzzing sound, the moment the rotating stops (no load on GPU), the sound disappears. I thought it’s just coil whine, and sounds quite similar to your video.
