What was the experience for non-US customers when ordering?

I’m in the market for a new laptop after owning a HP Spectre X360 15" for 6 years. Unfortunately, my experience with HP if something goes wrong outside warranty or through your own stupidity (i.e. tipping milk all over it) hasn’t been great. They’re often VERY difficult to take apart. That’s my main reason for looking at Framework.

Looking at the 13 Pro (yes, I am a dev, so I’ll be the one to judge if FW have figured things out) but I’m in the UK. How difficult or awkward is the process for non-US buyers? Just concerned about hidden costs.

I’m in Canada, and had no issues whatsoever. I’ve purchased two FW16s, and a separate batch of expansion cards after they came out with the full-sized SD card reader.

I am in the UK and have a FW16 AMD 7840HS. There are no hidden costs. What you see on the FW website is the total cost to you.
FW pays all the appropriate import taxes etc. out of what you pay them.

That’s brilliant. Thanks, guys. That’s the info I needed.

No issues, ordered from Germany. All taxes included in final price.

I bought an original FL16 in the UK. There are no hidden costs. The price you get quoted includes VAT, freight, etc. so it is the price when it lands at your door.

Ordered from Germany, the ordering page indicated tax and customs were not included so I was worried how much extra it would be.

Tracking the shipment, the device went all over the place on its way here and took 7-10 days, including a few in France at Customs. Eventually delivered without any duties or tax so I was relieved about that.
