Good tip. Many of us may just not be waiting long enough before trying again.
Could be my problem. I’ve been running into multiple repeated “Captcha verification failed, please try again” but hadn’t yet figured out why sometimes I get through easier. Adblocker disabled for Framework, Firefox Linux, no VPN, IP address that hasn’t changed.
~edit~
I waited a full 30 seconds today, after the page was loaded, and it let me in straight away. I think that might be the first time that I got in without even one error thrown at me, since this thread was started.
I am seeing this issue with Firefox and Safari. I enter my credentials and when I click login, it almost instantly says Captcha failed. If I wait a bit and try again, it will sometimes work, sometimes not. It generally takes two or three attempts before it finally signs me in.
In the 10 days since, I read the suggestion to try waiting 30 seconds, it’s been 100% consistent for me.
If I try to log in fast “Captcha verification failed, please try again” without fail. And when I wait, it logs me in no problem, also without fail.
If it’s possible to change the error message to something like: “Captcha verification failed, please try again. If you get this multiple times, then please wait 1 minute before trying again.” it might help a good number of people.
As of yesterday evening, the log in button is grayed out with a little spinning icon for about 5-10 seconds. Then it becomes clickable. At that point, it has always worked for me.
It’s not a perfect system, but it seems like the wait is baked in now.
