I am considering buying the framework DIY for linux.
I don’t see anywhere on the website to download firmware updates. Is this done by downloading a file, or are updates downloaded inside the UEFI?
If a firmware update file is downloaded, is it OS dependent (windows only) or can firmware updates be done from any OS (linux specifically)?

I just started using LVFS, it’s great. Unfortunately many manufacturers ignore it. It would be nice if the various components inside a Framework Laptop could be supported and the team will try to convince them:

Per the article, BIOS updates are done within Windows, and under Linux via LVFS.
