I don’t get it. Upgrade everything to make it Pro, but keep the mediocre keyboard???
I fully agree. New 13 Pro brings tons of goodies and you can still upgrade a lot of older 13 laptops, but I’m disappointed that the new and backward incompatible input cover doesn’t bring any new possibility to use diy keyboard layouts or different switches.
I would love to see this, might require a new chassis though to accommodate extra height if needed. I would def pay for this though.

My idea would be.
Keep the chassis.
Rather do new hinges and thicken the bezzel. As the bezzel is just snap on plastic, that is easy. Only designing the new hinges and getting them molded or carved out from metal would be the “complicated” part. And well obviously wiring up the keybord to talk to mainboard and fit into keyboard cover.
