Please at least fix the battery flip/flop charging issue:

The issue was seen as early as Dec 2021:

If the battery flipping is caused by hardware limitations, a BIOS update isn’t going to fix that

That’s partly [one of] the thing(s)…no official word on the matter. James3 provided an EC code fix / update attempt for other boards.

I found this a little bit strange. BIOS update are with “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” principle, so it shouldn’t update based on a time interval. Correct me if I’m wrong.

There’s supposed to be a fix for the 61wh → 55wh battery situation.

11th gen is mentioned here:

There’s also this (for example, not sure if we are affected):

Or this:

The solution of this problem and the battery flipping problem are not fully discovered yet.
The unofficial EC code in this forum doesn’t fully fix the battery flipping problem. The cause of the 61Wh downgrade voltage to 55Wh problem isn’t even pinpointed.
The battery extender caused random 100% charge, ignoring manual limit even when switched off. It’s not reliable enough to update.

Does framework use anything from this list?

list

Howyar Technologies Inc., Greenware Technologies, Radix Technologies Ltd., SANFONG Inc., Wasay Software Technology Inc., Computer Education System Inc., and Signal Computer GmbH.

We don’t know. Hence the question. Is there anything to look out for?

Tick-tock…

I agree that there are tons of problems that need to fix

I agree that it “shouldn’t”…but with the passage of time, more bugs / issues / vulnerabilities are known…generally speaking. Base on “nothing is perfect”.
