so i received my desktop yesterday and have been trying to install w11. i made the bootable via the media creation tool and rufus. even tried multiple usbs but the installation fails at 46% with just one message saying that w11 installation has failed. i have tried it both with disabling the secure boot and with it on and always get this. any help is much appreciated
I had a similar issue as well. and spend many times re-installing win11 because of it. spent a weekend figuring it out.
What i found out that worked was i used rufus to modify the win11 install to remove the 4gig, secure boot and tpm2.0 requirement, remove the online component and not check the create local account. after the usb is created, copy the wifi drivers folder to the usb only.
Then turn off the tpm in the bios, turn off the wifi and begin the install. when it says it fails it didn’t actually fail it actually does a check that the bios has secure boot enabled and see it doesn’t and kicks you out.
Take out the USB drive and reboot it should get you to a screen where you can boot into safemode and log you in. when in safe mode uninstall the AMD DRTM drivers, change the registery to stop the secure boot check, manually disable the TMP in device manager and change the policy to prevent win11 auto updateing drivers.
Once that is done you should able to sign in using local with no TPM or secure boot. Finally the driver package that Framework provides to update the chipset drivers in a simple .exe file can be opened in 7zip to reveal it’s actually a .bat file with 13 folders of driver install packages, folder 7 i believe is the AMD DRTM driver package and should not be installed. the others can be installed with no issue.
