After replacing my RTC battery, I got the battery workaround kit. Because of issues with the workaround, and also probably user error, I broke the bottom part of the battery bracket. I’m clearly not the first to have this problem, as it’s called out in the article on how to do the install. I’m wondering what people have done, if anything, as a workaround for the broken bracket, assuming you don’t feel a need to put in a new mobo just for the bracket.
Contact Support and they may be able to provide you with a replacement RTC bracket
