Worried I bought the wrong crucial ram

HI everyone

I have bought Crucial CT32G56C46S5 32GB (1x32GB), 5600MHz DDR5 SODIMM

I was wondering if anyone has had experience using this RAM as I realised it supports XMP memory. I understand the RAM may work but will run on slightly slower speeds. Am I correct?

Here are my specs for the laptop

Framework Laptop 16 7040 series: Diy

Secondary storage: N/A

operating system: Zrion os (linux)

Ryzen™ 7 7840HS

WD_BLACK™ SN7100 NVMe™ - M.2 2280 - 2TB

Graphics Module (AMD Radeon™ RX 7700S) (1st Gen)

Hoping the laptop will be bootable.

Thanks In advance

P.S

Have seen other users on the forums saying it works with CT32G56C46S5 32GB (2x32GB).

It should work, but you really should buy kits in matched pairs for best performance. Might want to look into getting a second matched stick soon as well as crucial is pulling out of the consumer memory business soon and you won’t be able to get the same stick to do a matched pair.

Thanks. Won’t be able to get a second one though. To expansive for me.

Ended up buying the 2x16 kit. Managed to get it for $509.00 Australian dollars.

Thanks for the recommendation

Yes the RAM has become hellish expensive. My 64G Cruical RAM cost me AUS $520,- as luckily Framework honored their price on my order. Now its double+. At least for OZ, Framework is actual on par or cheaper then pretty much anything I can buy on the Net.

For me, the CT2K16G56C46S5 worked
