I understand your questions, but i remember reading the above post by Kieran about LVFS. also, 3.08 for windows was release, only the EFI updater part was still in beta. the internal files where the same for windows, so basically the bios itself is release. the updater itself might be whats interesting if now final release, or better question: is it considered stable enough? meanwhile many folks have succesfully (or after some guidance) updated their bioses (and other firmware parts)
