I recently got the large mystery box and received an i5-1240p mainboard and I am trying to see if it works but I’m having issues with it not displaying an image. I’m powering it with the 180w FW16 charger and I’m using the HDMI expansion card. when I power it on it just flashes a code and I could not figure out what it meant. I also tried to see if it would display an image over the jedp connector but got nothing there too. I installed 16 GB of curial RAM that I know works and I installed an unformatted drive. The code I got was 1 white, 1 red, 5 green, 1 red, 5 green, 1 grange, 1 blue, 7 green.
Edit: I did a little more research and I think it’s possible that the bios chip is corrupted but I’m not well knowledge on bios things so it’s just speculation from the issues I’m seeing.
Could someone with an intel i5-1240p mainboard be able to send an image of the back of the board? I think I may have found a missing component but I’m not entirely sure and I couldn’t find one on Google.
It’s on the back near the ram.
I recently got an Intel 12th gen i5-1240p mainboard from a mystery box and I’m trying to fix it to use in future projects. The board doesn’t post and flashes a code (1 white, 1 red, 5 green, 1 red, 5 green, 1 orange, 1 blue, and 7 green). I inspected the board and found what looks to be a missing component by the text DC3 but I’m not sure and I couldn’t find any pictures of the back from the same model.
I think that replacing this component might fix the posting issue, but if it doesn’t turn out to be something that’s missing my only other idea on what it could be is maybe a corrupt bios.
If anyone would be able to send me a picture of the back of your board of the same model that would be great.
