I have a 13th gen Framework laptop with an up-to-date BIOS and Arch Linux and Windows 10 dual booted. I’ve had this laptop for about a year and have had no issues. Several weeks ago my laptop started freezing periodically: I would be using my laptop, then the screen would stop responding and the fan would get loud, and I would have to reboot via the power button. This happened across OSs; on my Windows install it manifested as a BSoD (I didn’t take a picture unfortunately). This was happening both before and after I updated my BIOS. Then, earlier this week, my laptop stopped working at all. When I turned on the power button, the fan got loud but the screen stayed black, then a minute later the power button turned off and the fan got quiet–then the power button turned back on and the cycle repeated until the computer ran out of power. I assume this is a hardware issue but I don’t currently have a spudger (it’s in the mail) so I haven’t been able to open the case up yet. And I’m not sure what I’d be looking for in any case. Has anybody else had this problem/what would you recommend I do to solve it? I’ll send updates once I’m able to open up my laptop, should be ~June 23.
