I had been using Arch since I first got my laptop in 2021 (which was my first Linux only/primary machine), but I switched to NixOS about a month and a half ago (right about when 26.05 released). I was convinced to use NixOS by a friend on a home server a few years ago, and I grew comfortable using it over time. Eventually, I realized that my Arch install had become rather bloated, and I stopped feeling comfortable trying to tweak it, unlike with my NixOS machines. I now have both my home server and Framework 13 on NixOS, and I’m planning on reusing the same NixOS install (with a few config tweaks) on the 13 Pro when that arrives.
POP!_OS is since a year at 5th position at DistroWatch.com and not mentioned in the selection menu …

I do understand that one could consider System76 as a competitor to Framework.
Still it is one of the most downloaded/used Linux version.
The COSMIC DE written in Rust is kind of amazing.
OK, I admit that I do not have long Linux experience, as I started a year ago with ZorinOS.
Still POP!_OS is running since two weeks on my FW13 and I have the feeling it is faster and the default battery settings, thus power consumption, are supreme, way better as with Zorin
