2nd Generation FW16, running Fedora KDE on Primary SSD and Windows 11 Pro on secondary SSD.

openSUSE user here, specifically the rolling release Tumbleweed with x.org window manager and XFCE4. It just works.

While I’m enjoying Nobara well enough, I’ll probably head back to Linux Mint as soon as it supports the AI 300 processors.

I switched to Kubuntu from Ubuntu when I upgraded from 24 to 26 (KDE/Plasma has really come a long way during my GNOME years) and still run Win 11 Pro on my 2230 drive

I guess that’s “Ubuntu Flavor” on the survey?

Fedora WorkStation as main distro but have gentoo running/setup on a usb to learn and configure before doing the full switch

Well, I was using, and loving, LMDE7 before I upgraded. Since then, I have had to change to Fedora 44, because LMDE7 would install but not boot. I have not liked Fedora or any Ubuntu based system. I prefer Debian. I’m getting used to it. Not liking it. Just getting used to it.

If I have missed something on getting LMDE7 to work, please let me know.

I can’t help with your lmde7, but I use MX Linux based on Debian stable 13 ‘Trixie’.

Menu driven style like Mint, easy to use and has some very helpful tools and Apps.

People wanting a Windows replacement (re ease of use), MX Linux gets my vote.

Cheers

Thanks, I will check it out.

Blessings

I run LMDE 7. I don’t have a strong idea of what issue you may be experiencing though, as I haven’t had any issues. Something to do with boot drives in the BIOS maybe?
