Just a quick inquiry, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about getting the HWMonitor sensors to display the full (voltage/temp/power) info for my 7700s. I’ve had the GPU module before and all of the information displayed properly. I just purchased a used module on Reddit and the card is working/performing just fine, I’m just unable to get this extra info, both in HWMonitor and in-game display.
So far, I’ve tried the latest FW drivers bundle as well as the latest drivers from AMD’s site (which felt like a gamble) and am still unable to get this sensor data.
RIGHT after making this post, I tried something I was curious about and it worked.
In the bios settings, I changed the iGPU gaming mode to the AUTO setting and now all the info is displaying for the 7700s. That setting allocates more system memory to the iGPU. Not entirely sure why that changes the sensor data for the dGPU, but this worked for me and I’ll leave this thread up for future sufferers
Update: I think this change fixing the issue is inconclusive because it will randomly display limited and full sensor data for the 7700s when I launched HWmonitor now.
Okay, that is wild….You have to wonder, what is up with Framework’s bios code? It really feels like they had a really bad AI write it and it’s got all these weird bugs and quirks that make no sense as a result.
