A thank you to Support

This is a thank-you to Support.

My lappy is 2.5 years old, so 0.5 years after warranty.

The power cable began fraying some time ago at the L connector end, a known manufacturing issue, and I finally thought I better get a new cable, because if this one breaks, I can’t recharge the lappy.

I looked on the marketplace, cable is 9 euro, fine - but postage is 10 euro, ouch!

Asked Support if they could do something about postage (and for the record, I bought rather than warranty replaced the keyboard, when the ‘N’ key broke - doing my bit to support the company).

What they’ve done is just sent me a new cable - probably no mechanism to make partial charges, and not worth the effort for 10 euro, but still - I benefit from it, and strictly they didn’t have to send it at all.

This saved me quite a lot of time and hassle - I would had have to have done the research to find a decent third-party cable, and ordered from Amazon, as a friend has Prime so we get postage for free, and Amazon these days far as I can tell is a bit of a nightmare, basically a spam house for strangely named Chinese resellers of the same kit.
