After latest BIOS update, video does not work on Plugable UD-6950H dock

When I plug in my Plugable ‎UD-6950H dock, video like VLC or youtube does not work anymore. Even if I unplug the dock it is still broken, and also my laptop will hang on reboot and shutdown

I have tried:

  • unplugging the expansion cards and plugging the dock into all 6 ports
  • reinstalling Windows
  • booting in safe mode (dock external monitors doesn’t work at all in safemode, and still breaks video)
  • Running sfc /scannow, no issues
  • Running DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  • Running MemTest64, no issues
  • Running Windows Defender full virus scan
  • Updating Display Link driver with DisplayLink+USB+Graphics+Software+for+Windows11.5+M2-EXE
  • Ran DDU and installed amd_chipset_software_6.01.25.342. Installed driver bundle again
  • Set Bios to default settings
  • Windows updates
  • chkdsk has no errors
  • Re-installed windows (used “Reset this PC” option)
  • Reached out to framework support

Do you have any microphones or sound devices? If so I found that I had to disable the AMD audio-coprocessor as per this thread: https://community.frame.work/t/solved-usb-audio-problems-with-framework-16/60636

I narrowed down the issue to my external web cam, and found that the fix in this tread solved my issues.
