Videos are not working on my Plugable UD-6950H after the latest BIOS/driver update and I’ve tried everything (see my other thread). I need my dock to work, can someone please suggest one (I asked Framework Support and they don’t recommend any dock or hub station brands, kind of annoying as I’m sure they use them themselves right? They are dogfooding, right???)
The plugable dock you noted is not a usb4 or thunderbolt implementation. It’s one of the older plugable usb3 docks that uses a display link driver to interface.
It is noted right on the product page that scenarios like gaming or video playback may not work. This is not dogfooding, it sounds to me like you need to read the manual of your equipment.
There are 2 usb4 rated ports on the 16. Any thunderbolt or usb4 rated dock should work with those ports.
Thank you! Support would not tell me this when I asked what dock they recommend, nor did they even bother to check when I sent them my dock. I wasted so much time with a huge laundry list of suggestions by support
Currently, using the DELL WD19TB thunderbolt dock.
In the beginning, I could not log in using an external monitor.
Since applying the last BIOS date and latest KDE Neon, this not works flawless.
All the rest works too!
