hello. i have the ansi non rgb keyboard for fw16 and my f keys don’t work when changing brightness or volume etc however do work as function keys. i have done some light modifications to the qmk firmware but i have made minimal changes to the keymap (i only changed the caps lock key). regardless of if im holding fn or not. I know the multimedia keys work as my keychron keyboard also running qmk can use them just fine.
Did everything work before you made changes to the keymap?
You could save your current keymap, then load the default keymap to see if that fixes it. You’ll find Save Current Layout in the SAVE + LOAD section, floppy disk icon on the lower left.

i used qmk flash to go back to the advanced keymap (i havent used via so i just used qmk) and the multimedia keys worked im very confused as nothing ive done to my keymap has changed the multimedia keys

advanced is working i assume default is too my keymap is under dialgatrainer02
A quick question: Are only the media keys (volume, play, next, previous and screen brightness) non-functional? Or all keys that would be accessed by pressing Fn?
(Asking, because all Fn keys are working except these on my end since a week or two)
Is your function lock, fn + esc, on? I would guess that could be the cause. I also had some issues until I cleared the EEPROM data, but I doubt that is the root cause here.
No it’s not I’ve reflashed my keyboard several times advanced works mine doesn’t although there are no changes to the keymap in that area fn lock definitely isn’t on
i pressed all the keys and got nothing insert also does nothing but delete works
