Audio expansion card too loud on Windows

On my FW 16 I’m dual booting win11/Ubuntu. I have the 3.5mm expansion card in the right middle slot. I usually set my audio volume to 30 which between Windows and Linux and my PC sounds reasonable, however when plugged into the expansion card it is far louder at 30. This happens in Windows only, as it sounds fine in Linux, and only on the expansion card as using the 3.5mm input in my monitor also sounds fine. Additionally, it looks like in Windows the audio is being amplified based on the volume visualizer when playing a test sound on the expansion card vs. the monitor input.

Therefore I conclude that the audio issue has something to do with the Windows driver. When plugged in, the port shows up in device manager as the USB audio expansion card, with the default USB Audio 2.0 microsoft drivers. Trying to switch the drivers results in the device not working or (when trying to switch to a Realtek driver) the OS bluescreening. In sound settings, the audio device doesn’t have the advanced settings such as bass bost or loudness equalization that other Windows driver devices would have, nor does it show up in the Realtek audio console as it’s not a Realtek device.

What is going on with my audio? Is there some specific driver needed for the expansion card to work?
