Hi guys!
Been using a FW13 with AMD AI 7 350 and feel the battery life is a little unpredictable and not as good as I had hoped.
Searching for tricks brings up mostly the older AMD laptops.
I wanted to know if there is any undervolting ability here or not. I’ve implemented the most obvious windows tricks, but still feel the laptop runs warm and using the fans even when nothing is using the CPU/GPU.
Should I look into repasting the thermal paste?
Thanks
Stupid plundervolt kinda killed undervolting outisde of some niches.
The ptm it ships with is already pretty close to as good as it gets. Also thermal paste isn’t going to significantly improve your battery live even if the current one was complete garbage.
its because i feel the laptop runs hot even when I’m not doing anything on it. Actually, that means the thermal transfer is working, but I don’t know why the chip is heating up.
I also don’t know why the laptop keeps waking up in my bag when I had that issue basically solved in my previous laptops.
I am betting it’s magnets.

Dunno
I have nothing else that’s magnetic in my bag. But it also happens if I simply close the lid and leave it completely unplugged on the desk. (I make sure to disconnect the charger/dock cable and wait 10 seconds, then close the lid)
