Beginner Questions - Bluetooth and GPU RAM Frequency Framework Desktop

Hi all,

the questions may seem silly, but Im a Beginner and I hope to find answers here.

  1. My Framework desktop does not show Bluetooth on Windows.
Does the PC have Bluetooth built into the Wi-Fi module?
If so, where can I find the drivers?
  2. In the 3D Mark benchmark, the GPU RAM frequency is listed as 1000 MHz.
I thought the RAM was connected at 8000 MHz.
Is the display correct? How is the conversion done here?
Or are there any settings options I a missing so far?

Thank you very much!

Best regards
Andi

for the answer to your first question, for winodws you can download the bios and driver bundle from formware and that will contain all the drivers you need to enable the bluetooth built into the wifi module: BIOS and Drivers Downloads
It is also possible that the bluetooth was detected and the driver installed but it is disabled for some reason. You can google how to enable or disable bluetooth for windows and that should get you the instructions to turn it on if that’s why it seems missing.

for the RAM frequency, it is 8000 MTs, which is a frequency of 4000MHz (becuase DDR ram transfers data twice per clock cycle) This should be enabled by default and you should have to do nothing to enable it. In windows open task manager and look at the RAM tab, it should show you your rated RAM speed.

3dmark is either reporting the instantaneous speed of the RAM, since systems will dynamically downclock their ram speeds when not under load to save power, or it is confused by the unified RAM system the APU is using and reporting an inaccurate number. I would not worry about it unless you are getting performance that is not in line with other framework desktop systems.

Thank you for your help.

I can’t install the Bluetooth driver – Windows 11 always says that an error has occurred.

Is this a known issue? Do you have any ideas?

The last windows update deleted the BT driver’s and and some wifi drivers MS sent an update for the update that could fix the problem but so look at the last windows update and see if u can install it again. Also Google the last windows update - u maybe have some issues due to the update.
